For our final project in the Chaos Médias event, we built an interactive sandbox that used a Kinect to detect the topography of real sand and project a responsive landscape onto it. I handled all the integration in TouchDesigner, with support from Raphaël Bouchard on the texture side. The original idea came from Kateryna Klymenko, and we shaped the concept together as a team. After a full semester of work, it was exciting to see it live and fully functional.
