Elements

Elements is an interactive artwork I created in Processing, inspired by games like Powder Game and Python simulations such as Rock, Paper, Scissors. The piece is built around three main systems: a particle engine where each particle is born with an element and color, a minimalistic user interface allowing real-time parameter adjustments, and a territorial war mechanic where particles collide, “fight,” and adopt the element of the victor. Over time, this can lead to complete domination by a single “nation.” The visual style is intentionally simple and relies solely on color, creating a lightweight and elegant aesthetic. Each run of the simulation is unique, offering endless variations to observe.
